Our story

Founded in 2024 by forward-thinking fintech leaders, EFA is a collaborative hub where startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers come together to shape the future of finance. As a non-profit, our mission is to harness the power of fintech to improve lives and accelerate economic progress.

What do we do?

Fintech Awareness

We educate the public and key stakeholders on the benefits and opportunities of fintech through events, workshops, and media campaigns.

Advocacy and policy support

We work with regulators and government bodies to shape fintech-friendly policies that enable innovation and financial inclusion.

Infrastructure development

We support the creation of secure, scalable digital infrastructure to help fintech companies grow and operate efficiently across the region.

Market research

We provide data-driven insights on consumer behavior, market gaps, and emerging trends to guide fintech strategy and investment.

Clifford Reginald Nau

Clifford is the Co-Founder of Kura. Over the past 12 years, he has advised public institutions, international organizations, and business associations on fintech, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Haiti, and played a key role in launching the first full-featured tech incubator in the Caribbean.

Samantha Sosa

Samantha, a graduate of the universities of Lille and Côte d’Azur, blends law, business, and tech to fuel FinTech innovation. With global experience from Digicel to Société Générale and leadership at Sofitec, she empowers businesses to master regulation, harness data, and build a more inclusive digital economy.

Sébastien Mortimer

Sébastien is a financial governance expert with a background in banking, having held key roles at Sogebank where he supported institutional development and strategic initiatives. He combines experience in financial services with deep expertise in the Caribbean.

Jean-Pierre Vertil

Jean-Pierre is the co-founder of Gaya, building AI-powered automations for the insurance industry. He earned his MBA from Stanford Business School and holds a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and a bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Notre Dame. He's built and scaled technical products in Haiti and abroad.

Luigi Voltaire

Luigi is a tech entrepreneur specializing in fintech and security. He is the founder of CYVI, a cyber insurance platform, and has advised international startups and private sector leaders on innovation and financial resilience across Haiti and Europe.
